Peter is a trumpet player and singer and has been a
wind and brass tutor on the shooting roots team since
2007. He experienced folk music from a young age,
first attending Sidmouth Festival at 2 months old,
however he enjoys playing and singing from a diverse
range of musical genres. He has played with the
National Youth Wind Ensemble and sung a variety of
choral and solo music including oratorio and opera.
Currently studying Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol, Peter now plays with the award winning Bristol University Hornstars, an auditioned big band, and sings with the University Singers and the Madrigal Ensemble.
Peter enjoys fusing folk with other musical traditions and likes to bring funky jazz riffs into the music played at Shooting Roots workshops.
