Matthew is a woodwind specialist on the Shooting Roots team. Having been corrupted by Morris dancers at 14, he went on to study at Durham University where he gained a music degree, a master’s degree in composition and a PGCE in secondary music. He now works as a music teacher in a specialist music school in Birmingham.
Matthew has performed both nationally and internationally collaborating with performers as diverse as Ensemble Royaal (Den Haag) to the Northern Sinfonia. Currently, he performs with Ceilidhography and Morris Offspring.
